Elder Law and Organizing Caregiving

This week's gathering felt especially practical—a reminder that caregiving is as much management as it is presence. The tools we use can either weigh us down or help lift some of the daily mental load.

Opening Reflections

This week’s gathering felt especially practical—a reminder that caregiving is as much management as it is presence. The tools we use can either weigh us down or help lift some of the daily mental load. Our conversation circled around financial protections, documentation systems, and the professionals who can guide us through the legal side of caregiving. And through it all, a shared goal emerged: making space, emotionally and logistically, to show up more fully for the people we care for.

Caregiving isn’t only heavy because of the love—it’s heavy because of the logistics. Every piece of paperwork you complete, every app you download, every note you jot down is a way of building scaffolding under something fragile and precious. The more we share tools, the more we share the weight.
