Validation doesn’t fix the situation, but it lightens the emotional load by reminding us that our reactions are human and shared.
Support groups of all kinds—formal or informal, faith-based or secular, in-person or virtual—create space to voice what often goes unspoken. They help normalize complex emotions, reduce self-judgment, and replace silence with understanding. Sometimes the most healing words are simply, “Me too.”
Knowing you are not alone doesn’t remove the weight of caregiving—but it makes it easier to carry.
